  • The Worst Sleeping Position For Shoulder Pain

Do You Wake Up with An Incredibly Sore Shoulder?

Your sleeping position is probably to blame.

One simple fix may help you relieve your shoulder pain at night. Watch this video to find out what it is!

The best way to avoid shoulder pain from sleeping is to not sleep on the shoulder at all. Of course, this can be difficult for many, since sleeping on one’s side is a common favorite position. If you do need to sleep on your shoulder (we totally get it) there is a way you can position yourself to avoid pain.

The best thing you can do is create a canal between your shoulder and neck. This can be done by adding an extra pillow under the side you are sleeping on. This should go underneath the rib cage. An extra pillow should also be placed underneath the head.

These actions combined take the pressure off the shoulder and instead put the pressure onto the rib cage. Taking pressure off the shoulder is key for reducing shoulder pain while you are sleeping.
